I took my parents here this past weekend to try something a little different and we got the shredded pork and I think I’m shredded beef dish. My parents split their plate and it seemed to be enough. Nice serving. Everything was really good. Cuban coffee was amazing and so were the cherry tarts. We will definitely be back.

Staff is really friendly. The inside of the restaurant has local art hung on the walls. It's a hidden gem tucked away by Sylian Beach.

I hate to let the secret out, but this little gem of a restaurant has the BEST food. Best Cuban Sandwiches ever, and the Pulled Pork Sandwich? Wow. Nothing bad on the menu. Staff are always friendly. Bonuses: nice display of local student art for sale, and excellent taste in music.

I needed a cappuccino like yesterday! So while on my walk this morning, I decided to try the Cuban Cafe. I don't think I have ever had a Cuban sandwich, or at least not recently. While the cappuccino was pretty darn good, the Cuban breakfast sandwich was pretty darn good. It was one of the most moist breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! As great as the coffee and the sandwich were, it was all topped off by the super great lady who was working the counter during my visit!

Glad they opened this location right by the beach! Their empanadas starting at 2.25 are the perfect beach snack and I love the picadillo, ropa vieja, & guava flavors! Also the staff is friendly and it's nice that they have local art for sale hanging in the interior walls.

We decided to have breakfast and chose Cuban Cafe Laporte and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Their Cuban sandwiches and French toast are simply delicious, and the coffee (especially the cortado) deserves special praise. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the visit even more enjoyable. If you are looking for a place with authentic Cuban cuisine and a cozy atmosphere, this cafe is a great choice!

On 01/17/2025, I had the pleasure of dining at The Cuban Cafe in La Porte for breakfast, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. I ordered the Cuban French Toast, which came with French toast, bacon, and home-fried potatoes. Every bite was a delight. The French toast was perfectly golden, with a slight crisp on the edges and a soft, flavorful center that was rich but not overly sweet. The bacon was cooked to perfection—crispy, savory, and the perfect complement to the dish. The home-fried potatoes were a standout on their own, seasoned just right with a satisfying crunch on the outside while staying fluffy inside. The portion size was generous, the flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was inviting. It’s clear that they take pride in their meals. The warm and welcoming atmosphere of the cafe made the experience even better. If you’re in La Porte and looking for a delicious breakfast, I highly recommend The Cuban Cafe. The Cuban French Toast is a must-try!

Price, service and food is awesome! Fresh, homemade and made to order! The Cuban was loved by our whole family! The empanadas are awesome too! We love supporting small business and this is a must stop on your way to the beach!! Also local artist have painting available for purchase!!
